Tata to launch four new electric vehicles

The revised Nexon will be released later this year, followed by Harrier and Punch EVs, according to Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran. He added that the Curvv EV would make its debut in the first quarter of 2024.

According to N Chandrasekaran, chairman of v Sons, "Tata Motors India, as well as JLR, has extensive plans on EVs. We have launched a number of products already. We have an upgraded Nexon, which will be launched anytime this year. We will then be launching the Harrier, Punch, and finally the Curvv towards the first quarter next year.”

By 2030, according to Chandrasekaran, Tata Motors wants 65% of its Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) trucks and 50% of its passenger cars to be powered by green technology. This October, reservations for the Range Rover EV and Range Rover Sport EV will become available. A whole portfolio of brand-new Jaguar EVs is expected to arrive on the market in 2025 as well.

Expected launch details

By late September, the Harrier EV and the eagerly awaited Nexon EV facelift are slated to be on sale. The Punch EV and Curvv EV will thereafter be released in the first quarter of the following year.

As Tata's first successful entry into the compact SUV market, Curvv and its electric version will garner the most attention. The futuristic-looking Curvv will include an extensive array of cutting-edge technology, including ADAS.
