Tata: With the release of an all-electric version of the Punch small SUV, Tata Motors plans to increase the number of EVs in its lineup. The introduction is anticipated for some time in or near the second half of next year, and it will probably be on display at the Auto Expo 2023 next month.
According to a source, The debut of the Tata Punch EV may occur around the holiday period surrounding Diwali because that period is recognised for an increase in the sale of vehicles and motorcycles. Therefore, the business may plan to introduce Punch electric in India around Diwali 2023.

All about the Tata Punch electric
The transmission tunnel has been removed from the new platform, and the fuel tank has been changed to create room for the flat floor and the EV batteries. The platform is intended to reduce the weight of the EV, increasing its efficiency and range.
To accommodate different pricing ranges, the Punch EV might be introduced with various battery capacities. Additionally, we might anticipate some aesthetic improvements between the EV and its ICE-powered counterpart.
Price in India
Tata Punch EV's price has not yet been announced, but the company is anticipated to price the SUV similarly to Tiago EV, which was introduced earlier this year. The Punch EV could cost roughly Rs 2 lakh more than its top-spec ICE version.
With 80% of the market share in the electric passenger car class, Tata Motors dominates the Indian market. For many years, the company's Nexon EV was the best-selling electric vehicle. The Tata Punch EV's introduction is likely to strengthen the company's standing in the marketplace. Electric versions of the Nexon, Tiago, and Tigor are available from Tata.
