Terrorist involved in Kandahar plane hijack shot dead in Karachi: Government sources

Terrorist Zahoor Mistry Killed in Karachi, involved in the conspiracy of Kandahar Plane Hijack, was shot dead in Karachi, Pakistan. Zahoor was involved in the hijacking of Air India aircraft IC-814 in the year 1999. Akhund was the owner of Crescent Furniture located inside Akhtar Colony of Karachi. Mistry was living in Karachi for many years under a fake identity.

According to government sources, Mistry was working in Akhtar Colony of Karachi. Zahoor was associated with the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. The two attackers who attacked this terrorist of Jaish had come by bike. Both these attackers have been seen in the CCTV footage.

Both of them had masks on their faces, so they could not be identified. According to reports, Rauf Asghar attended the last rites of Akhund in Karachi. Asghar is the operational chief of Jaish-e-Mohammed and brother of Jaish chief Masood Azhar.

Indian Airlines aircraft IC-814 took off from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu for Delhi airport. But as soon as the plane entered Indian airspace at 5.30 pm, the terrorists hijacked the plane at gun point and took the plane to Kandahar, Afghanistan via Amritsar, Lahore and Dubai.
