Tesla Model 3 to soon launch in India? Expected to offer 568kms of range and to be feature-rich, all we know so far

Tesla Model 3 powertrain details

The Standard Plus, Long Range, and Performance electric powertrain options are available for the Model 3 in the US. A dual-motor all-wheel-drive system is used in the Long Range and Performance models, which have a stated range of 568 km and 507 km, respectively. The former has a rear-wheel drivetrain and a claimed range of 423 km. The Performance model, on the other hand, has a top speed of 261kmph and can sprint from 0 to 97 kph in just 3.1 seconds. Tesla may initially offer the Standard Plus and Long Range variants of the Model 3 built for India while launching the Performance variant later.

Expected features

Along with autonomous driving technologies, Tesla has given the US-spec Model 3 two wireless charging pads, a big 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 12-way power-adjustable front seats with heating, a 14-speaker sound system, and all of these other amenities. It is unknown what extras Tesla would include in the India-specific model, but given that it will be an import, many features are anticipated.

Expected Price in India

The electric sedan might cost as much as Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom), according to Tesla.
