Tata Punch EV: This article examines the ten additional characteristics that the Tata Punch EV has over its ICE counterparts. Punch EV reservations are now being accepted for a nominal fee of Rs. 21,000, and the electric SUV is anticipated to be on sale later this month. Read on to check the details.

Tata Punch EV features

Electronic Parking Brake

The electronic parking brake on this electric version of the Punch is easy to use and has an auto-hold option that is helpful while driving on hills. In contrast, the standard Punch has a traditional stick in the central console for the manual parking brake.

Leatherette Ventilated Seats

The top-tier Tata Punch EV Empowered Plus model is the only vehicle available with leatherette seats throughout. The Tata Punch EV's cabin feels airy because to the light grey leatherette seats. Additionally, ventilated seats are provided for the driver and front passenger.

Wireless phone charger

A standard feature of the highest variant of the Punch EV, a wireless phone charger will be available only on this model. The standard Punch does not have this function either.

Air purifier with AQI display

Moreover, the central infotainment system of the Tata Punch EV will feature an integrated air purifier with an AQI monitor. Using the latter, you may monitor both the cabin's and your surroundings' air quality.

Connected DRLs

The linked DRLs on the Tata Punch EV set it apart from its petrol and CNG competitors. The linked DRLs are comparable to those included in the Nexon and Nexon EV facelifts. When the Punch ICE gets a facelift, we anticipate that this feature will eventually be included.

10.25-Inch Touchscreen Infotainment System

Incorporated into its entry-level electric SUV is Tata's bigger touchscreen infotainment system. The Punch EV's interior experience is enhanced in comparison to the standard Punch thanks to its improved dashboard feature. While the EV is plugged in for charging, it may be used to kill time using a variety of apps provided via the Arcade.ev function. In contrast, a 7-inch touchscreen is included with the standard Punch.

10.25-inch digital driver’s display

The Punch EV's premium, fully digital instrument cluster, which is different from the standard Punch's semi-digital cluster, is another characteristic that has been carried over from the Nexon EV. It is exclusive to the highest-spec model of the electric micro-SUV and is the only one in this class with this function.

Blind Spot View Monitor

The Tata Punch EV's Empowered Plus version gains a blind spot vision monitor as an extra safety element. When there is a car behind you, a blind spot monitor warns you by monitoring the region immediately off your car's rear quarter sections.

6 Airbags

In all four of the Tata Punch EV's variants—Smart, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered Plus—six airbags are also included as standard equipment. Differently, dual airbags are standard on the Punch ICE. Future Bharat NCAP crash tests should see the Tata Punch EV surpass the Punch ICE in safety ratings thanks to the inclusion of six standard airbags.

Air Purifier

A built-in air purifier with an AQI display will also be available for the Tata Punch EV through the central infotainment system. With the latter, you may monitor both the cabin air quality and the air quality outside your cabin.
