Top 5 cars: The auto industry has made great advances recently in terms of improving safety and pollution requirements. Car manufacturers are increasingly giving consumers more environmentally friendly options, such as CNG automobiles, hybrids, and zero-emission hybrid vehicles.
In India, EVs have been present for many years, but in 2022 their popularity soared to unprecedented heights. Strong hybrids also came into existence as a compromise between regular ICE (internal combustion engine) cars and totally electric vehicles.

Tata Nexon EV rival XUV400 EV will be unveiled in January. It’s a little bit longer than the sub-4-meter Tata EV and is advertised as having a 456-kilometre range. The XUV400 EV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds thanks to its 150 PS motor.

In India, the Honda City Hybrid is currently the top-of-the-line City sedan model, and rightfully so. It has a powerful strong-hybrid drivetrain that combines the power of a 98 PS IC engine and a 109 PS traction e-motor to produce an excellent stated fuel efficiency of 26.5 kmpl.

The ZS EV received a thorough upgrade from MG, putting the electric SUV closer to its ICE sibling, the Astor. It now has a more powerful e-motor with 176 PS and a bigger, longer-range battery pack with a 461 km range (claimed). Unfortunately, the ZS EV does not have access to all of the ADAS technologies offered by Astor, despite receiving some of them.

The new 2-litre petrol engine that powers the Innova Hycross in its all-new form is available with either an ICE-only or strong-hybrid drivetrain. The latter MPV is not only more efficient and cost-effective but also more fully equipped. It comes equipped with opulent luxuries including panoramic sunroofs, ventilated front seats, and reclining captain seats.

Citroen’s first electric vehicle (EV) for India is based on the C3, a mass-market hatchback. The electric version of the C3, known as the eC3, will have a similar general body to the C3, but will incorporate EV-specific design elements and probably have a broader list of amenities and equipment.
