Top 5 upcoming cars under 20 lakhs: Multiple brands are currently working to expand their Indian portfolios in response to the current high demand on the Indian automobile market. If you also want to buy a new car in the next 12 months, here is a list of the best cars coming out in India that will cost less than Rs 20 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny

Soon, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny will make its debut in India at the Auto Expo 2023. It will compete with the Thar and the Gurkha on the Indian market. It will probably start at Rs 10 lakh and come with a 1.5L K15C gasoline engine and Suzuki's AllGrip Pro AWD system.

Mahindra XUV400

The new XUV400 will come out in the country at the end of January 2023. It will have an electric motor with 110 kW of power and 310 Nm of torque. This motor gets its power from a 39.5 kWh battery pack, and a single charge is said to give it a range of about 456 km. It will compete with cars like the Tata Nexon EV and the MG ZS EV, which will probably cost between Rs 17-18 lakh.

New Honda Mid-Size SUV

Honda is likely to release a new mid-size SUV along with a compact SUV to compete with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor. This SUV will have the same frame and powertrain options as the Honda City sedan. It will also have a high-quality cabin with lots of features. The expected cost of a Honda Mid Size SUV is Rs 12 lakh.

Next-Generation Hyundai Verna

The new Hyundai Verna is likely to make its debut at the Auto Expo 2023. It will have a new platform, updated exterior styling, and a brand-new cabin, which will help it compete well with cars like the Honda City, VW Virtus, and Skoda Slavia. It will be available in the country with 1.5L NA petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol, and 1.5L diesel engines. The expected cost will be Rs.10 lakh to 16 lakh.

Honda Compact SUV

It's not a secret that Honda is working on several SUVs right now, including a brand-new compact SUV for the Indian market. This new small SUV will be built on the same platform as the Amaze sedan, and it will probably come with a 1.5L NA gasoline engine. It will compete with cars like the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet in India, and it is likely to cost between Rs 8 and 9 lakh (ex-showroom).
