Toyota Kirloskar Motor: TKM said on Sunday that it sold 160,357 passenger vehicles in India in 2022. This is a 23 per cent increase from 2021 when it sold 130,768 units. The car company also said that this was TKM’s best year for sales in the last ten years. The automaker’s previous best year for sales was 2012 when it sold 172,241 cars. The car brand also said that it sold 10,421 cars in December 2022, compared to 10,834 cars in December 2021.
The Fortuner, Legender, Camry, and Vellfire continue to do well in their respective segments
This increase in sales was attributed to the introduction of new vehicles such as the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Innova Hycross in 2022. The car company said that customers had pretty good things to say about both of these SUVs. It also said that models like the Fortuner, Legender, Camry, and Vellfire continue to do well in their respective segments.

Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Innova Hycross
According to Atul Sood, Associate Sales Vice President and marketing strategy at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the year 2022 was a phenomenal for the automobile manufacturer, both in terms of the number of new products that were introduced and the sales results that were achieved. “We came out with significant models like the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Innova Hycross. Both of these models have been very well received by our customers, and they are in high demand, so we are doing our best to meet their needs. Some of our other new products that came out earlier this year, like the new Glanza, are also selling very well,” he said.
Sood said that the company is looking forward to getting a lot more buzz going about Toyota’s sustainable offerings in the areas of mass electrification and alternative fuel technology at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023. He also hopes that sales will keep going strong in the new year.
