Two Wheeler Sales: With 7100 percent growth, this company beats Hero & Honda - Are the giants slipping?

Two wheeler Sales: The year 2022 was nothing special for the two-wheeler segment. If you take a look at the retail sales (sales from dealers to customers) in December 2022, you will find that the sales of two-wheelers have come down to 11,33,138 units. This is the lowest December sales figure since 2019. Sales in December 2021 were 12,75,894 units, a decline of 11.19 per cent. In December 2020 and 2019, approximately 14–15 lakh units were sold. As usual, Hero Motor was the best-selling company in December 2022. On the other hand, Honda’s two-wheelers remained in the second position. In terms of growth, both of these companies, which sold lakhs of bikes, lagged behind one another.

Ola sold a total of 17,280 two-wheelers in the month of December

The country's No. 1 two-wheeler company, Hero Motor, has sold 3,30,175 units as of December 2022. This is 25 per cent less than the 4,43,809 units sold in December 2021. Honda's two-wheelers, on the other hand, sold 2,94,011 units. Its sales have increased by 3.16 per cent. If you look at the entire list, then the maximum growth has been done by such a company, which has been in the market for about 1 year. This company is Ola. Ola sold a total of 17,280 two-wheelers in the month of December. In December 2021, the company was able to sell only 240 units. In this way, the company has registered a growth rate of 7100 per cent.
