Upcoming compact SUVs

1. Maruti Suzuki Fronx

A 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine (90PS/113Nm) from the Baleno and a 1-litre turbo-petrol BoosterJet engine (100PS/148Nm) with mild hybrid technology are the two petrol engines that Maruti provides for the car. In comparison to the latter, the former comes with either a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission.

2. Maruti Suzuki Jimny

A 1.5-litre petrol engine (105PS/134Nm) is used for propulsion, and it also has an idle-engine start/stop feature. The transmission options for this engine are a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual. Four-wheel drive (4WD) is standard equipment on the Jimny.

3. Tata Nexon 2023

A 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine with 120PS/170Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, diesel engine with 110PS/260Nm of torque are also available. Both engines are mated to either a six-speed manual or an automatic manual transmission.
