Vespa GTS Scooter expected to hit the market in the second half of 2023 with improved feature set, details here

Vespa GTS Scooter: According to recent reports, Piaggio India is hard at work on a larger displacement Vespa scooter that will be tailored entirely to the requirements of the Indian market. The official information regarding this model is not yet available; however, a test mule of the scooter has been seen, and it has shown various design features that will be featured in the final version of this product. This India-specific vehicle will take its cues for its outside design from the international-specification GTS 300 maxi-scooter, as can be seen in the following picture.

We do not yet have access to more specific details

Additionally, the photo reveals what appears to be an entirely digital instrument cluster. However, we do not yet have access to more specific details. Because this will be a scooter with a higher displacement, the feature list will also contain anti-lock braking system (ABS) technology. This scooter will have a single-channel ABS installed due to the fact that the rear brake is a drum system.

The motor in the international-spec GTS 300 is liquid-cooled

In terms of its technical specs, this new model will make use of an air-cooled arrangement, much like the majority of the other Vespa scooters do. However, the size of the engine is noticeably larger when compared to the 125cc and 150cc motors that are found on the previous scooters. It is important to take note that the motor in the international-spec GTS 300 is cooled by liquid.

The launch specifics are not known yet. On the other hand, this product seems to be ready for production, and as a result, we anticipate seeing this scooter on the market in India around the second half of the year 2023.
