Punjabi singer Karan Aujla is making waves globally! After releasing his much-awaited album P-Pop Culture, he appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show, bringing bhangra to American TV. In a video shared online, Aujla teaches Fallon some lively Punjabi dance steps.
Karan is only the second Punjabi artist (after Diljit Dosanjh) to debut on Fallon’s show. On September 10, the show’s Instagram shared a fun clip of Aujla guiding Fallon through bhangra moves, giving fans a glimpse of this cross-cultural moment.
Karan Aujla Teaches Bhangra To Jimmy Fallon
The clip begins with a warm greeting. Fallon says, “I can’t believe this. How are you?” Aujla replies, “Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about. Good to see you.” Fallon thanks him for joining, and Aujla compliments him, “You’re looking good.” Fallon jokes back, “Look at you, you look fantastic. I wish I looked like this.”
Soon, Aujla starts teaching a bhangra step. However, Fallon hesitates and admits he’s not ready for this. Aujla reassures him, “It’s easy, it’s easy.” Later, they dance together to Aujla’s hit tracks Boyfriend and Ghabru.
The video received praise from artists like Jazzy B, Spin Singh, and Jassie Gill, congratulating Aujla for taking Punjabi music global. Before the show, Aujla shared Instagram stories from his dressing room, thanking his fans. He wrote, “We just finished the performance at one of the biggest shows in the US. The Punjabi connection is so strong… You guys have really doubled my confidence… I love you guys.”
