Khalid added, “I was just with him in the hospital. He has third-degree burns on his face, but thank God, there has been improvement. His hands and legs have second-degree burns. His condition is improving; he laughs and talks with us.” Civil Defense teams later controlled the fire while the viral video spread widely online.

In the process, Al-Dalbahi sustained severe injuries. He suffered third-degree burns on parts of his body, along with first- and second-degree burns on his face, head, hands, and legs.
