What’s Latest Update In 7th Pay Commission

7th Pay Commission: The Modi government has recently given a big gift to the central employees. The government has increased the dearness allowance of the employees by 3 percent. Meanwhile, an update has come regarding the fitment factor of government employees. It was expected that the government may increase the fitment factor slightly this year. This will increase the basic salary of the employees. But, no decision will be taken yet on the demand for increasing the fitment factor.

According to sources, the fitment factor will not increase in the year 2022. At present, the government is not in favor of increasing the fitment factor. Due to Corona epidemic (Covid-19) and inflation, this additional financial burden cannot be increased at present. If sources are to be believed, it is not possible to take any decision on the fitment factor till the next Pay Commission. It is also difficult to say when the next pay commission will come. The government is trying to make such a formula, which will increase the salary from time to time.

In fact, there was a long-standing demand of central and state government employees that their fitment factor should be increased from 2.57 per cent to 3.68 per cent.

On the other hand, the employees expected that the increased fitment factor could be announced in the salary for the month of March. But now the employees are disappointed on this front.

As per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, at present the fitment factor is 2.57. The basic salary of central employees is calculated by multiplying the fitment factor 2.57 of the 7th Pay Commission (7th Pay Commission latest update).

After the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, the basic pay was made by adding grade-pay to the Pay Band of the 6th Pay Commission. In this, the current entry level salary was multiplied by the fitment factor 2.57, which prepared the salary according to the pay band of the employees.
