In order to finish the project within the next two years, Xiaomi is reportedly also considering purchasing a stake in the Beijing Hyundai No. 2 facility. According to the source, this firm has a complete licence to produce automobiles in China. Citing sources familiar with the agreement, it stated that Xiaomi is considering a production partnership. The licence to build the car is now being delayed for the Chinese smartphone manufacturer.
