In Tamil Nadu, DMK MP A Raja allegedly made derogatory remarks about Hinduism at a recent event, the BJP sharing the video of which alleged that A Raja’s remarks are provocative and hate targeting a particular community. After this statement of A Raja, there has been a political ruckus.
The case of MP A Raja making derogatory remarks about Hinduism has given rise to a new hot topic, to which the BJP has reacted sharply. Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai shared a video on Twitter, in which Raja can purportedly be heard making provocative remarks.
A Raja, a senior leader of the Stalin government in Tamil Nadu, has a long history of controversies. Raja’s name has been associated with 2G scams, controversial statements and corruption cases. A Raja, while addressing an event in Tamil Nadu’s Namakkal last week, reportedly spoke on the issue of casteism in Hinduism.
In the video, MP in Tamil, A Raja purportedly said that “Shudras are the children of prostitutes and they will remain so as long as they practice Hinduism. The king goes on to say that “as long as you are a Hindu you are a Shudra. As long as you are a Shudra, you are the son of a prostitute. As long as you are Hindu, you are Panjayathu (Dalit) and as long as you are Hindu, you are untouchable.’
The DMK leader was also reportedly seen criticizing the country’s Supreme Court during his address. A Raja said that “the Supreme Court is saying that if you are not a Christian, a Muslim or a Persian, you must be a Hindu. Have you seen such atrocities in any other country?’
