Amid rise in Corona cases Bengal government canceled the matriculation and inter examination

Amid rising case of Corona and lockdown in West Bengal, the government of Mamata Banerjee has cancelled Secondary and Higher Secondary examinations.

The education department had earlier announced that there will be secondary examinations from June 1, but now it has been made clear that it is not possible to have the exam.

At the same time, the state’s new Education Minister Bratya Basu had said that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will decide whether there will be secondary examinations or not. It is now clear that it is not possible to have a secondary examination. With this, it has been said that higher secondary board examinations will also not be taken.

Immediately after the postponement of the secondary examinations, Mahua Das, President of the Higher Secondary Education Board, said that the examinations of the Higher Secondary would also be postponed.

The decision of the government is awaited. The closure of school colleges and other educational institutions in Bengal has already been announced.

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education had announced to conduct matriculation examination from 1 June 2021.

Recently, the West Bengal Higher Secondary Council had said that Intermediate examinations will be held in the Home Center at its own time. But, now this examination has also been postponed .
