As per the latest update, the Supreme Court of India has adjourned the hearing on the PIL seeking cancellation of Class 12 Board Exams 2021 of CBSE and ICSE Boards, which was scheduled to be held today.
The court asked the petitioner to be optimistic, pointing out the fact that there is no decision taken as yet. The court also asked that the respondents, namely CBSE, CISCE and Centre shouldd also be represented. The matter would next be heard on Monday - May 31, 2021 at 11:00 am.
Meanwhile, the court has allowed the counsel for petitioner to serve advanced copy to respondents including Centre, CBSE and ICSE boards.
Earlier this week, nearly 300 students wrote a letter to Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramanna and other Supreme Court judges seeking the Supreme Court's direction over the conducting of physical examinations for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 board exams.
