CBSE Board Exams 2026-Master Study Strategies

One of the best things that you can do is to thoroughly read and understand all your NCERT textbooks. Moreover, you should try to solve at least 5-7 years of previous years’ question papers and sample papers. This should always be done under a timed condition so you can improve writing speed while also mastering the pattern. It is also advisable to create concise notes, mind maps and flashcards for quick revisions, focusing on weak areas identified through practice.

Build a Solid Timetable

Make sure to craft a thoughtfully and realistic 60-day plan allocating time per subject based on difficulty and understanding levels, with weekly reviews and daily goals. You can devote 25 minutes for study followed by a short break of 5 minute. This will help you avoid fatigue and boost retention. It is also recommended to include slots for mock tests and revision to simulate exam pressure.

Make sure to take regular and productive breaks for hobbies or walks. It is equally important to prioritize sleep, exercise, hydration and nutrition to stay focused and healthy. You can practice deep breathing during overwhelming moments: inhale for four counts, hold four, exhale four, to calm nerves instantly.

Incorporate Daily Meditation

Start mornings with 15-20 minutes of mindfulness meditation. Just sit straight, focus on your breath and use positive affirmations like “I am prepared and calm.”  This will help you enhance memory, concentration and confidence while cutting exam-day jitters.
