CBSE Board Exams Kick Off! Advisory Urges Early Arrival Amid Delhi-NCR Traffic Challenges Due To Farmer Protest

During the CBSE board examinations, stay ahead of the traffic jam! A CBSE guideline advises students to arrive early and rely on metro transport in order to account for possible delays in Delhi-NCR.

CBSE Board Exams: A advisory was released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday in advance of the February 15 start date of the board exams for classes 10 and 12. The students have been told to report to their respective centres by 10am, as exams start at 10.30am.

Encouragement for Early Arrival

Students in Delhi-NCR have been encouraged to arrive to their exam centres early in order to minimise any potential delays caused by traffic congestion, especially in light of the farmers’ demonstration. The metro rail services, which are said to be running well, have been recommended by the CBSE as a dependable form of transportation.

“Due to the prevailing situation in Delhi it is expected that there will be traffic-related problems which may cause delay in reaching the examination centre,” the advisory stated.

Impact of Ongoing Protests on Traffic

The protest’s second day was marred by traffic jams caused by security authorities setting up barricades to prevent farmers from marching into the nation’s capital. The final 20 km of Grand Trunk Road, which runs through Haryana from Delhi to Punjab, was rerouted via minor roads. To stop the farmers’ march, several levels of barricades, concrete blocks, iron nails, and container walls have been erected at the city’s borders at Ghazipur, Singhu, and Tikri.

“Therefore all students are advised to leave their homes early so that they can reach on time as per the instructions issued by CBSE. It is advisable to use metro services to reach the examination centres, which are running smoothly,” it added.

Universal Guidelines for CBSE Program Enrollees

Students enrolled in CBSE programmes in India and other nations have also been encouraged to arrive at the testing location prior to 10:00 am, taking into account local factors such as traffic, weather, and distance.

“Only those students will be allowed to enter the examination centre by 10:00 am. After this no student will be allowed,” it said. Over 39 lakh students from both India and outside will take the board exams this year. 5,80,192 students will take the board exams at 877 testing locations in Delhi alone.
