CBSE Class Xll Board Exam

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has confirmed that the Class 12 Hindi Core (302) and Hindi Elective (002) board exam will take place on March 15, 2025, as per the pre-announced schedule. This decision remains unchanged despite Holi celebrations extending to that date in some regions.

CBSE acknowledged that while Holi will be celebrated on March 14, 2025, in most parts of the country, certain areas may observe the festival on March 15 or have celebrations spilling over to that day. Recognizing the potential difficulties faced by students, the board has decided to offer a provision for those unable to appear for the exam on the scheduled date.

In a statement, CBSE assured that students who find it difficult to take the exam on March 15 will be allowed to appear later. They will be accommodated in a special examination session, similar to the arrangement made for students participating in national or international sports events.

Students Facing Issues Can Take a Special Exam Later

The board emphasized its commitment to balancing academic integrity with student welfare. By providing this alternative, CBSE aims to ensure that students are not unfairly disadvantaged due to unavoidable circumstances.

The CBSE had released the complete board examination date sheet three months in advance to help students plan their studies effectively. This proactive measure was intended to assist students in managing their time efficiently.

The board has urged students to check official announcements for further details regarding the special examination. Meanwhile, schools and examination centers have been directed to make necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the exam on March 15.

This decision reflects CBSE’s commitment to maintaining the sanctity of the board examinations while ensuring that students facing genuine constraints are given fair opportunities.
