Delhi News: EWS Admissions to kick start from June 22

The admission process for the children belonging to the Economic Weaker Sections will kick start from the 22nd of June. The Education Director notified about the timetable through a circular. The last date for submitting the admission form will be July 3rd .All the Private schools in the National Capital have been asked to accommodate the students under the EWS category upto 20%. At Present, Delhi has around 400 schools. The Education Department will be taking online applications and draws to fill these seats. The admission will be build on the Neighbourhood criteria. The Preliminary Timetable for the draw of Lots is July 12.

Submission of all documents is Mandatory

The candidate has to submit some important documents to fulfill the admission procedure like submitting the Aadhar Card. This process will help in preventing numerous applications. The circular also said that the applicants should be the resident of Delhi with a Resident Proof, also the income proof which should be less than one lakh annually. To get admission to class 9th, the students will be chosen in a ratio of 1:5 against the accessible seat. Five students will be picked through a Computerised Draw.The School Principal can take a call on the other unoccupied seats.
