Delhi News: MBBS students who returned from Ukraine sitting on hunger strike

Delhi News: The MBBS students, who returned to India from the midst of the Russo-Ukraine war, staged a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar under the banner of the Parents Association of Ukraine Students. Their demand is that they should get admission to Indian medical colleges just like Israel, Pakistan, and Ghana have enrolled their students.

Students from 18 states joined the hunger strike

The students should also be admitted in Indian medical colleges. In this strike students and parents had reached from 18 states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bengal, Bihar and many more. The students told that the situation there is not good, the war is still going on. In such a situation, going there is like risking life.

Students said “it is not possible to go there”

They said that in such a situation the future of more than 12 thousand students is in danger. In which more than 150 students of Delhi are involved. They told that they are being called to the college from September. But, it is not possible to go there in this situation.

Association president RB Gupta said that the students are worried about their future. A memorandum has been submitted to the Prime Minister’s Office regarding this matter.
