Delhi University News: In a letter addressed to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Delhi Education Minister Atishi flagged alleged irregularities in 12 Delhi University (DU) colleges funded by the Delhi government. Atishi outlined several "serious irregularities and procedural lapses" involving significant public funds.

The Delhi Education Minister proposed two solutions to address these issues: either complete the merger of the 12 colleges under the Delhi Government for full funding, or the Union government takes full control of these colleges within the DU framework, leading to the cessation of Delhi Government funds allocation.

Call for Transparency:
The letter emphasizes the need for transparency and accountability in managing public funds allocated to these colleges. Atishi's communication aims to address concerns related to financial management and procedural compliance within the higher education institutions.

Awaiting University Response:
As of now, officials from Delhi University have not provided any comments or responses regarding the highlighted irregularities and the proposed solutions presented by the Delhi Education Minister. The issue awaits further deliberation and potential actions to ensure the efficient and transparent utilization of public resources in higher education.
