Delhi Metropolitan Education (DME) Law School organised its flagship conclave JurisConnect’26 on the theme “Access to Justice, Efficiency and Trust: Rethinking India’s Legal System” at Nelson Mandela Hall, DME Campus, Sector 62, Noida.

The event brought together distinguished legal professionals from Tier-1 law firms to deliberate on contemporary challenges in India’s legal system, the evolving role of technology and artificial intelligence in legal practice, and career pathways for aspiring lawyers.

The panel featured Mr. Saifur Rahman Faridi (Partner, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.), Ms. Surabhi Khattar (Partner, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas), Mr. Jafar Alam (Partner, Trilegal), Mr. Nachiketa Goyal (Associate Partner, Kochhar & Co.), Mr. Saurabh Bindal (Partner, Fox Mandal & Associates), and Mr. Madhavam Sharma (Principal Associate, Khaitan & Co.).

During the discussion, the speakers shared valuable insights on legal education, the importance of internships and practical experience, and the growing role of technology in legal practice. They also highlighted that while artificial intelligence can assist lawyers in research and efficiency, it cannot replace human judgment and analytical thinking in the legal profession.

The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment where students engaged with the panelists on issues related to specialization, careers in law firms, and professional development.
