Delhi Metropolitan Education (DME), Noida, successfully organised a two-day International Conference on Influencer’s Content, Algorithmic Transparency, and Narrative Building on April 16 and 17, 2025. The conference brought together academicians, researchers, media professionals, and students from across India and abroad to deliberate on the rapidly evolving dynamics of influencer culture, the ethical dimensions of algorithm-driven content, and the construction of digital narratives in contemporary society.

The inaugural plenary session on April 16 featured an esteemed panelists, including Mr. Ravi Mishra, TV News Anchor, TV9, Prof. Surbhi Dahiya from IIMC, AI and Communication Analyst, Prof. Dr. Umesh Arya and Prof. Ambrish Saxena, South Asian University. Their insightful addresses highlighted the urgent need for transparency in algorithmic systems and the growing impact of influencer content on shaping public opinion.

ICAN 7 was conducted under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble VC, Mr. Aman Sahni. This prestigious event was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bhanwar Singh, Director General, DME, whose dignified address and wisdom elevated the entire ambience of Nelson Mandela Auditorium, setting the perfect tone for an intellectually rich gathering.

This international conference came to fruition owing to the unwavering support and inspiration of Prof. (Dr.) Ravi Kant Swami, Director, DME, whose academic foresight and leadership consistently steered the institution on the path of excellence.

The conference was thoughtfully designed and executed under the remarkable leadership of Dr. Parul Mehra, Head of DME Media School, whose unwavering commitment, strategic planning, and seamless coordination led to its outstanding success.

Co-Convenors Dr. Yamini Khullar and Dr. Shefalli Chhibber played a pivotal role in steering the academic sessions and meticulously managing the event logistics, contributing significantly to the overall excellence of ICAN 7.

The conference received over 80 insightful research papers from institutions across the Globe representing countries such as Sri Lanka, US, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, and the United Kingdom. A series of technical sessions, plenary talks, and panel discussions throughout both days explored themes such as influencer credibility, algorithmic bias, AI-generated content, ethical communication, and digital narrative construction.

The valedictory session on April 17 was graced by eminent dignitaries, including Prof. K.G. Suresh, Former Vice Chancellor, MCNUJC, Bhopal. Dr. Aasha Kapur Mehta, Chairperson, Centre for Gender Studies, IHD, New Delhi; Prof. Avinash Singh, Former Pro-VC (Emeritus), UTM, Shillong; and Spiritual Leader, Ms. Sadhvi Pragya Bharti. The guests applauded the relevance of the conference themes and appreciated the platform provided for scholarly dialogue.

The event concluded with the felicitation of outstanding paper presenters and the distribution of certificates. And the event was formally closed by a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Vishal Sahai, Assistant Professor, DME Media School.
