DUSU Election Result 2025: The Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) Elections 2025 resulted in a clear win for the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). After all rounds of counting, ABVP’s president candidate Aryan Maan enjoyed success, receiving broad support across Delhi University’s campuses. Aryan Maan secured 28,841 of the votes, leaving his nearest opponent, NSUI Joslyn Nandita Chaudhary, with 12,645 votes. The sizable gap in those votes exhibited ABVP’s continued popularity and organizational strength with the students.

NSUI Secures Vice Presidency

Although ABVP won most positions, NSUI’s Rahul Jhansla won the Vice President position with substantial support. Jhansla’s win indicates that NSUI continues to have a presence in a segment of students, despite ABVP winning almost all the other posts.

ABVP Dominated Earnings Positions

ABVP also took the critical positions of Secretary and Joint Secretary, cementing their control of the student union. ABVP won at multiple posts, revealing productive campaigning, tailored approaches, and strong student engagement.

Increased Student Mobilization and Campus Engagement

The 2025 DUSU elections demonstrated a growing level of political engagement from students. Some observers suggested that ABVP’s campaign organization, targeted programming, and commitment to attending campuses were responsible for their rapid success. The elections reveal that student mobilization and engagement are changing levels of significance in campus governance and policy.

Future Directions: Active Leadership on Campus

This year’s outcome is a continuation of the ABVP’s strength at DU (Delhi University). The NSUI (National Students’ Union of India), in contrarian opposition, will also have a voice at the discussion, so the opposition will also have gained a victory via the election of the vice-president in their constituency. Students and analysts will be curious as to what the newly elected leaders can do in terms of future presidential elections or campus programs for action or welfare.
