Punjab News: Kingpin of fake Offer Letter Scam arrested in Canada

Fake Offer Letter Scam: The Kingpin of the Fake offer letter scam Brijesh Mishra has been arrested in Canada. The accused has been cheating many students on the pretext of providing them offer letters to get visas to study in Canada. The agent will now appear in the court and face Criminal charges.

Accused trapped more than 700 students

It has come to light that more than 700 students hailing from Punjab and other states who were trying to deport from Canada had arranged their visa applications from the year 2018 to 2022 with the help of Brijesh Mishra, the Immigration Agent based in Jalandhar. The students have gone to Canada to study but as soon as the incident of fake offer letters came to light after they registered for Permanent Residency, the accused has been on the run since then.

Immigration Agent was also booked in the past of Forgery

Meanwhile the Canada Border Services had booked Brijesh Mishra of giving Immigration Services without a License, also giving fake letters to the students aspiring to study in Canada. He was also arrested in the year 2013 for providing fake paper work to the students. The Punjab Police has booked him and his agency and informed the Parents of the students.
