IISc starts this new course, know details

B.Tech undergraduate course in computing and mathematics has been started by IISc, Bangalore. The scores obtained in JEE Advanced of the students will be considered for admission to this course. At the same time, all the important information related to this entire course has been given on the official website of IISc, iisc.ac.in.

No time limit has been issued by the institute for admission to the course, but the information related to the time limit will be posted on the IISc website soon. According to the information, there will be a total of 52 seats in this course, in which 8 seats will be reserved for female students and 4 seats will be reserved for foreign students. Students will also be able to earn an MTech degree by studying this course with an additional year and project credits.

The first year fee for General, OBC and EWS category students in this IISc course is Rs 2,20,200, while SC and ST category students will have to pay only Rs 20,200 during the first academic year.

To apply for this course, it is mandatory for the student to have pass 12th class with science stream. It is mandatory for the student to have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, any one language and another subject in addition to this in class 12th. No information has been given about the counseling process for admission to the rest of the B.Tech course.

IISc has said that they are approaching the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JSAA) of the IITs for the application process and counselling. On successful interaction with JSAA, the application process and counseling of IISc will be conducted as per trade rules of JSAA. Otherwise, this process will be done through the admission portal of IISc.
