International Conference on Disruption, Resilience and Sustainability: Shaping the Future of Global Ecosystems through Law, Business Policy, Communication and Entrepreneurship

DME’s international conference on disruption, resilience, and sustainability gathered global experts to explore AI in research, governance, media, and future ready solutions.

The Department of Management of Delhi Metropolitan Education successfully organized a two-day International Conference titled “Disruption, Resilience and Sustainability: Shaping the Future of Global Ecosystems through Law, Business Policy, Communication and Entrepreneurship” on 8th–9th April 2026 in hybrid mode. The conference served as a dynamic platform for academicians, industry experts, policymakers, and students to deliberate on pressing global challenges and explore interdisciplinary solutions. Prior to the main conference, a pre-conference workshop on “Role of AI in Research” was conducted on 4th April 2026 at Zakir Husain Delhi College (Evening), University of Delhi. The session was delivered by Prof. Hamendra Kumar Dangi, who emphasized the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in academic research. He discussed the application of AI tools in data analysis, literature review, and academic writing, while highlighting ethical concerns and the importance of maintaining originality and integrity in research. The conference received around more than 140 papers across the nation.

The inaugural session of the conference was held on 8th April 2026 at Jamia Hamdard. The event commenced with a formal welcome, setting an engaging and scholarly tone for the proceedings. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Prof. (Dr.) K. G. Suresh (Director, India Habitat Centre), who delivered an inspiring address highlighting the role of media, governance, and institutional resilience in shaping sustainable futures. The Guests of Honour included Dr. Annurag Batra, Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bhanwar Singh, Prof. Bharat Singh, and Prof. (Dr.) Aishar Alam, whose presence added academic and professional value to the event.

A major highlight of the first day was the Plenary Keynote Session on the theme “Shaping the Digital Future: Media, Markets and Governance.” The session featured eminent speakers including Arun Karna, Prof. (Dr.) Surabhi Dahiya, Prof. Taranjeet Sabharwal, Prasoon Srivastava, and Adv. Jyoti Dutt. They shared insightful perspectives on the intersection of media, technology, governance, and market dynamics in shaping the digital future. Alongside the inaugural and plenary sessions, technical sessions were conducted on the same day.

The second day, held on 9th April 2026 at Delhi Metropolitan Education, continued with technical sessions followed by the valedictory programme. Researchers showcased innovative ideas and scholarly contributions. The valedictory session included a welcome note by Dr. Komal Vig (Director, DME), followed by addresses by eminent dignitaries such as Ms. M. Lata Gautam (Chairperson, International Council for Employment and Empowerment), Bidyadhar Majhi (Advisor and Head of Combination Division, CCI), Chaitali Sharma (Head, Academic Partnerships, Turnitin), Prof. Reshma (Director, Centre for Media and Mass Communication, Jamia Hamdard), Prof. F. B. Khan, and Prof. Bharat Singh (Principal, Zakir Husain Delhi College). The speakers emphasized collaboration between academia, industry, and policy institutions in addressing global challenges and fostering sustainable development.

The conference concluded with Best Paper Awards, memento distribution, and a vote of thanks by Prof. Shalini Gautam(Head,DME Management School). Overall, the conference was a resounding success, achieving its goal of promoting dialogue on disruption, resilience, and sustainability while fostering knowledge sharing, collaboration, and academic excellence.
