National Testing Agency Announces Exam Format and Details for 2025 Medical Entrance Exam

In a public notice issued on January 16, 2025, the NTA confirmed that the NEET UG 2025 will be held in Pen and Paper mode (OMR-based), on a single day and in a single shift. This announcement aligns with the guidelines outlined in Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, which mandates that NEET UG be a uniform exam for admission to undergraduate medical courses across medical institutions. Additionally, NEET UG will also be applicable for admissions to undergraduate courses in disciplines such as BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, and BHMS under the respective national commissions.

The NEET UG 2025 exam will not only be essential for medical aspirants but will also serve as the entry test for Military Nursing Service (MNS) aspirants seeking admission to B.Sc. Nursing courses at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals. The NEET UG score will be used for shortlisting candidates for this four-year nursing program.
