The wait is finally over for lakhs of medical aspirants in India. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has finally released the entire NEET UG 2025 counselling schedule, initiating the process of admission in MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses.

The entire schedule provides a clear, four-round process for students to take their seats under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) as well as for Central and Deemed Universities.

Comprehending the NEET UG 2025 Counselling Schedule First Round

The first round of counselling is the deciding moment. It is open for new registrations and is the first opportunity for students to secure a seat. According to the official NEET UG 2025 counselling schedule, registration and fee payment will be open from July 21 and will remain open until July 28.

The choice-filling and locking window will remain open after that. Students must fill in college and course preferences wisely in this window period since a seat will be assigned based on their NEET rank and these preferences.

The first round outcome is to be declared on July 31, while reporting to the allotted colleges is to be completed between August 1 to August 6.

Second and Third Rounds of the NEET UG 2025 Counselling Schedule

The second round is for candidates who have not been allotted a seat in round one or who are willing to upgrade the already allotted seat.

Second round choice-filling and registration will begin on August 12 and will be finished on August 18. The date of declaration of results is August 21.

Another feature of the process of counselling is that the candidate cannot resign or surrender the seat once they join a college under the second round. A third round has also been declared in the official NEET UG 2025 counselling schedule, offering another chance to the aspirants.

Registration for the third round will be carried out in early September, and the results will be declared on September 11.

Last Round of Vacancies, Stray, and What's Next

The final round of the counselling process is the Stray Vacancy Round. It is particularly made to fill up the remaining vacant seats after the initial three rounds.

The process of registration for this round will be held from 22nd September to 24th September. The result will be declared on 27th September, and the candidates must report to the allotted institutes on or before 3rd October.

Candidates are strictly directed to carry all their documents with them, i.e., their NEET admit card, result scorecard, and all the certificates that are involved, to avoid last-minute hassle during reporting. Then the academic session for MBBS, BDS, and other courses will start.
