Schools In Goa Reopens

Schools Open In Goa: Just two days back, the Goa government has decided to open all the schools in the state from February 21. Offline classes will resume from Monday in all schools from class 1 to 12 in the state. On Friday, the state government gave many concessions to the school children.

The state government said that school uniforms will not be mandatory for children to attend school and students will also be given concession in the time of going to school in the initial days. The state government is doing this due to the change in the environment due to Covid-19 so that the children can become comfortable easily and quickly. Along with the announcement of the opening of the school, state education director Bhushan Sawaikar has asked the operators of government primary, secondary and higher secondary schools to take care of the corona guidelines during their studies.

Education Director Bhushan Sawaikar said in a circular that in the initial days, if needed, concessions can be given in time to the students. Not only this, the circular states that the examination should be conducted in offline mode only and school uniform should not be insisted upon by the authorities.

The Education Department has ordered the reopening of all schools, including pre-primary, from Monday (February 21). Sawaikar said the decision to reopen the schools has been taken in view of the decline in COVID-19 cases in the state.

It is to be known that Goa’s health department official said on Wednesday that the state has achieved the target of 100 percent complete immunization by vaccinating all 11.66 lakh residents of the state above the age of 18 years, eligible for the anti-Covid-19 vaccine.
