Shoaib Aftab created history, achieved 99.99 percent score in NEET 2020

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the NEET 2020 Result on the official website.

Over 13 lakh medical aspirants took the NEET 2020 exam this year. Odisha's Shoyeb Aftab has bagged All India Rank (AIR) 1 in NEET 2020 examination.

Soyeb and Delhi's Akansha Singh have scored 720 out of 720 marks but Aftab has been ranked first and Singh second as per the NTA's tie-breaking policy, the officials said.

"There is no doctor in my family, so I didn't expect this. I had hoped to make it to top 100 or top 50 but I never expected to score 720/720. The exam was being postponed, so there was a lot of pressure. But the goal was to stay calm and utilise time," said Soyeb Aftab.

Earlier today, Union Minister for Education Ramesh Pokhriyal thanked NTA for giving a new cohort of doctors this year. The exams were conducted during "testing" times.

He Became the first student in the state to score 99.99 per cent in NEET exam. According to an India Today report, Shoaib was taking coaching from an institute in Kota.
