Meerut, April 3, 2025: In a remarkable achievement underscoring its growing leadership in innovation and research, Shobhit Institute of Engineering & Technology (Deemed-to-be University) has secured the 6th rank in India in patent filings among Scientific Research and Development Organisations. The University is placed alongside esteemed institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the National Institutes of Technology (NITs).
This recognition is based on the Annual Report 2023–2024 published by the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs, Trademarks & Geographical Indications, under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. Shobhit University has filed 401 patent applications, a testament to its strong research culture and focus on real-world innovation.
