Shobhit University Organizes Third National Wellbeing Summit

In today’s times when wellbeing should take precedence over everything in our lives, Shobhit University organized the 3rd National Wellbeing Summit at Le Meridian, New Delhi, on 9th November 2021.

More than 100+ academicians, researchers, health practitioners, industry delegates, and wellness consultants graced the occasion. Yogacharya Padmashree Bharat Bhushan Ji delivered the keynote address emphasizing the need for the mental and physical wellbeing of individuals.

While the organizing partner of the summit was Business First Magazine, the knowledge partner was Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra Ayurved Medical College and Research Centre.

The occasion also commemorated the 100th birth anniversary, 9th November 2021, of Shri Jagdish Prasad Mathur Ji, the founder member of the Bhartiya Janta Party.

Speaking on the event, the Dalai Lama disciple emphasized the need to be patient and reiterated the need to be compassionate. When specifically asked during a free-wheeling chat with us about the most crucial thing for mental wellbeing, he said we need to be compassionate with others. He also said we need to be compassionate yet be assertive.

To elaborate his viewpoint, he gave the example of a mother stopping her child from eating too many candies. He said the sugar causes dental issues and diabetes, which a mother cannot overlook. So, the compassion in her prompts her to stop her child from eating too many candies. However, she needs to assert herself to make the child follow her instructions. And this is what we need to do for our mental well-being. We need to be compassionate and assertive.

Speaking on the occasion, yoga guru and motivational speaker Ms. Pratishtha emphasized the need to remain happy, calm, and patient. She said we get what we sow. If we are happy, happiness will come back to us. But if we remain gloomy, sadness is what will come back to us.
