Uttarakhand is cancelling the exams of class 9 and 11, as studies were affected due to Covid.
R Meenakshi Sundaram, secretary for college training within the state stated that " the division is reviewing the progress of on-line research within the state and a choice will likely be taken relying on the outcomes."
“Correct research of each class 9 and 11 had been affected this 12 months resulting from Covid-19 pandemic. On-line mode of training couldn’t be carried out correctly for all college students given the topography of the state and constraints resulting from that. It could be unfair to the scholars to check them with out instructing them the entire syllabus. We’ve got not taken any remaining choice but however the choices are being thought of,” stated Sundaram.
They have taking this decision because after the reopening of schools, over 85 teachers had tested positive for Covid-19 in the first week and over 80 teachers had tested positive for Covid-19.
Uttarakhand government had allowed and issued a SOP to be followed after the reopening of schools. According to the SOP the school managements were asked to follow conditions like sanitisation of school premises before and after classes daily, arrangements be made in schools for sanitisers, handwash, thermal screening, first aid, etc.
