120 Bahadur Vs Mastiii 4 Box Office Collection Day 2: Farhan Akhtar’s Film Picks Up With 77% Jump, Riteish Deshmukh Starrer Shows NO Growth On Saturday

Farhan Akhtar’s 120 Bahadur surged on Day 2 with a 77% jump, outperforming Riteish Deshmukh’s Mastiii 4 at the box office. The adult comedy showed no growth, hinting that audiences may be losing interest.

The box office battle between Farhan Akhtar’s 120 Bahadur and Riteish Deshmukh’s adult comedy Mastiii 4 is keeping moviegoers talking. Both films were released on Friday (November 21) and while Mastiii 4 had a small lead on Day 1, Saturday saw a big shift. Farhan Akhtar’s war drama picked up steam, while the adult comedy failed to grow.

120 Bahadur Vs Mastiii 4 Box Office Collection Day 2

On opening day, Mastiii 4 earned Rs 2.75 crore, just ahead of 120 Bahadur, which made Rs 2.35 crore. But on Day 2, 120 Bahadur jumped 77%, netting Rs 4 crore. Its two-day total now stands at Rs 6.25 crore. In comparison, Mastiii 4 earned Rs 2.75 crore on Saturday, bringing its two-day total to Rs 5.50 crore, showing no growth from Friday. This flat performance suggests audiences may be tiring of the franchise.

Occupancy for 120 Bahadur improved in key cities like Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, surpassing 14%. The film, directed by Razneesh Ghai, stars Raashii Khanna, Vivan Bhatena, and Ankit Siwach alongside Farhan Akhtar. Mastiii 4 held occupancy above 10%, with Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur and Ahmedabad showing the most footfall.

Next week will bring fresh competition. Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, has a lot of buzz and could impact collections for both films. After that, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar will add even more pressure, making survival for the current releases challenging.

About 120 Bahadur

120 Bahadur is a Hindi historical war film based on the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. Farhan Akhtar plays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, who led 120 soldiers of the 13 Kumaon Regiment in a heroic last stand against around 3,000 Chinese troops. Raashii Khanna plays his wife, Shagun Kanwar, while Amitabh Bachchan narrates the story. The supporting cast includes Vivan Bhatena, Ankit Siwach, and Dhanveer Singh.

The film showcases the bravery of Charlie Company, defending the Rezang La mountain pass in freezing conditions. Flashbacks show the soldiers’ personal lives, particularly Major Singh’s bond with his wife. The story highlights courage and sacrifice, with Major Singh receiving the Param Vir Chakra posthumously.

Made on a budget of about Rs 85 crore, 120 Bahadur runs for 2 hours 17 minutes. Before release, the film faced some controversy over its title and featured Lata Mangeshkar’s iconic song “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon” in the teaser. It also held a special screening at the Rezang La War Memorial at 16,452 feet, marking the highest-altitude premiere ever.

About Mastiii 4

Mastiii 4 is the fourth instalment in the adult comedy franchise. Starring Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani, it follows the three married friends as they get into chaotic situations. Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, the cast includes Elnaaz Norouzi, Shreya Sharma, Ruhi Singh, and guest appearances by Genelia Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Nargis Fakhri, and Tusshar Kapoor.

Set in the UK, the film revolves around the trio trying to get “extra-marital freedom” from their wives, leading to predictable chaos and crass humour. Running 2 hours 24 minutes and made on a Rs 38–40 crore budget, it faced censorship cuts before release. Despite the makers’ claims, the movie received mostly negative reviews for its repetitive and vulgar humour.
