7 New Korean Dramas you just should not miss watching in August 2022

New K-dramas: Fans are going to be spoiled with the new number of the new Korean Dramas that are slated to release in August. Currently everyone’s favourite Extraordinary Attorney-Woo has only left two more new episodes left and there will soon be a time to pick a new show. Here’s a collection of new shows to check out in August.

1. Hunted

MBC series Hunted (August 1) has lead actor Park Ho-san as Young-soo, a middle-aged man in the country village. He is married to Kim Soo-Jin as Chae-Jung. Young-Soo goes into the mountain and cross paths with Link: Eat, Love, Kill actor Ye Soo-Jung as Ok-Soon, an elderly woman with Alzheimer’s disease who think that the fire which killed her son was caused by someone in the village. Shortly, Young-soo’s son also goes missing.

2. A Model Family

A Netflix thriller-drama A Model Family (August 12), Jung Woo as Dong Ha an ordinary professor who is trying to make living for his family. But he was on the side of divorcing his wife after experiencing financial difficulties.
He then happens to find a vehicle filled with cash and this leads to his involvement with the shady Gwang-cheol played by Park Hee-soon. Park Ji Yeon as Joo Hyeon plays the lead investigator of a narcotics team.

3. The Law Cafe

Lee Seung-gi returns to our screens after the smash hit Mousein The Law Café (August 29) as Kim Jung-ho, a talented man who give up his job as a prosecutor and go on unemployed, living off of the rent he gets from the building he owns. Jung-ho’s childhood friend Kim Yoo-ri played by Lee Se-young, a lawyer at a top firm, also give up her job and start the “Law Cafe” in Jung-ho’s building.

4. Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist

Kim Min-jae is back on screens as Yoo Se-poong, the nomial character of the new TvN period drama Poong, the Joseon Psychiatist (August 1).
Se-poong is a brilliant doctor who works for the royal family, until an unpredicted event sees him thrown out from the palace. He move to the idyllic Gyesu village, where he meets the eccentric teacher Gye Ji-han and the widow Seo Eun-woo played by Kim Sang-kyung and Kim Hyang-gi respectivly.

5. If You Wish Upon Me

After coming in the Netflix series The Sound of the Magic, Ji Chang-wook is back on screens as Yoon Gyeo-rye in If You Wish Upon Me (August 10). Yoon Gyeo-rye is a man who grew up in an orphanage and has struggled throughout his life. He begins to volunteer at a hospice, where he works by the side of team leader Kang Tae-sik and nurse Seo Yeon-joo played by Sung Dong-il and Girls’ Generation member Sooyoung respectively.

6. Stock Struck

In Stock Struck (August 12), Five non-professional investors take part in an uncommon meeting, where they know about life while also investing in the stock market. This drama gives out normal people experimenting with stocks and shows us what cause them to become investors in the first place.
Among the cast are Han Ji-eun and Hong Jong-hyun.

7. Unicorn

Beyond Evil star Shin Ha-kyun is back as the charming Steve, the CEO of McComb, a major tech start-up in the new series Unicorn (August). This comedy show director Kim Hye-young will insert fun at the business culture following modern technology.
This is an original series from Coupang Play, the streaming service.
