Actor Sanjay Dutt just got a thrilling birthday gift as his intense first look from The Raja Saab is finally out! The makers dropped the striking poster on his 66th birthday, setting fans buzzing ahead of the film’s December 5, 2025, release. Starring Prabhas in the lead, the film is directed by Maruthi and blends horror and comedy in a unique twist for the pan-India audience.
In the poster shared online, Sanjay Dutt appears with grey hair and a rugged face partly hidden in shadow. The haunting vibe is amplified by the creepy cobwebs around him.
The makers shared his look and wrote, “Team #TheRajaSaab wishes the Powerhouse and versatile Sanju Baba - @DuttSanjay a very Happy Birthday. Get ready to witness a terrifying presence that will shake you to the core this December 5th in cinemas.”
Prabhas also shared the same poster and wrote, “Wishing the ever-inspiring Sanjay Dutt sir a very happy birthday. Grateful to share the screen with you in #TheRajaSaab.” The online buzz has been strong ever since.
Directed by Maruthi, known for films like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Manchi Rojulochaie, The Raja Saab brings a fresh horror-comedy spin to the big screen. For Prabhas, it’s a break from his usual action roles. The makers even built a massive haunted haveli set (over 41,000 square feet), marking it as India’s biggest horror set to date.
The cast also includes Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar. The film will release in five languages: Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. While the original release was planned for April 2025, it was pushed to December for a bigger festive launch.
While fans are hyped, The Raja Saab won’t have a solo release. It’s clashing with Vishal Bhardwaj’s film starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, and Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar - all releasing on December 5. This sets the stage for a fierce three-way battle at the box office.
Are you ready?
