Director Atlee and Allu Arjun will finally begin shooting their much-awaited film AA22xA6 in Mumbai. After months of buzz, the cameras have officially started rolling with a look test tomorrow (June 11) followed by a full-scale shoot beginning Thursday.

As per a Mid-day report, the first day on set includes an eight-hour-long schedule and a special photoshoot. The team will film crucial sequences that will set the tone for the action-heavy film. To be shot across Mumbai, Hyderabad, and other secret spots, AA22xA6 is being kept under wraps to avoid leaks.

Allu Arjun To Undergo Look Test, Mrunal Thakur Will Shoot In First Schedule

Puhspa 2 actor Allu Arjun is set to play multiple roles in this sci-fi action drama. He was seen at Mumbai airport earlier this week as he arrived for the shoot. His character is said to have depth, with major screen time across different timelines.

The report mentions that Mrunal Thakur is part of the first schedule and shares key scenes with Arjun. Their track will introduce viewers to the film’s larger universe, which reportedly exists in a parallel world. The film’s budget is a massive Rs 700 crore, and top VFX companies from LA are handling the visuals.

Deepika Padukone Set For Fierce Role In AA22xA6

Deepika Padukone has once again teamed up with Atlee after Jawan. A teaser video released by the makers showed her reading the script and prepping with Atlee. The clip hinted at her playing a bold and action-packed role. 

It’s been reported that she will join the shoot in the second half of 2025 after finishing King with Shah Rukh Khan. Her part is expected to bring major momentum to the storyline in the second phase of filming.

Produced by Sun Pictures, AA22xA6 is aiming for a grand theatrical release in late 2026.
