‘Aamir Khan Is Shaatir Guy…’ Sitaare Zameen Par Actor Gets Roasted For Praising Dhurandhar 2 After Days Of Silence

Aamir Khan praised Dhurandhar 2 after days of silence but social media wasn’t impressed. Here’s why his post triggered trolling.

Aamir Khan has found himself at the centre of social media chatter after finally praising Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge. The superstar, who stayed silent for days despite the film’s massive success, is now being trolled online for a late reaction.

The sequel continues to dominate the box office and trend across platforms. Amid this buzz, Aamir took to Instagram Stories via Aamir Khan Productions to congratulate the team. He shared the film’s poster and tagged director Aditya Dhar along with actors Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.

Alongside the post, he wrote: “Heartiest congratulations to the entire team of Dhurandhar The Revenge! Your passion, vision and hard work have truly resonated with audiences.”

Netizens MOCK Aamir Khan For Praising Dhurandhar 2

While the message appeared warm and supportive, social media users were quick to react. Many questioned why Aamir took so long to speak about the film, especially when several celebrities had already praised it earlier.

One user wrote, “Kya baat hai, I’m surprised.” Another commented, “Itne jaldi praise…….koi aapki ya aapke family me se kisiki movie aane wali hai kya sir?”

A third user said, “Without watching movie, just like many Urduwood people, who are praising this movie just because they don’t want to face people’s anger.”

The sharpest remark came from a user who said, “Aamir Khan is a shaatir guy. He praised the movie too late and to create a good impression for himself.”

Another simply added, “Sab natak.”

Aamir Had Earlier Admitted He Hadn’t Watched The Film

This is not the first time Aamir Khan has spoken about Dhurandhar 2. At the International Film Festival of Delhi 2026, where his own film Sitaare Zameen Par was screened, he openly admitted he had not watched the sequel at that point.

He said, “I’ve not seen the film yet, but I hear only praises of the film. Dhurandhar 1 and now Dhurandhar 2. Both the films have done exceptionally well, and my very best wishes to the team.”

Dhurandhar 2 Continues Record-Breaking Run

Meanwhile, the film itself shows no signs of slowing down. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller opened strongly and has continued its dream run at the box office. On day 12 alone, it collected Rs 17.80 crore in India. Its second weekend crossed Rs 170 crore domestically, taking the India net total to Rs 937.32 crore.

Globally, the film has reached an impressive Rs 1492.17 crore. Made on a budget of around Rs 140–150 crore, it is now close to the Rs 1500 crore mark worldwide and is set to become one of the biggest Indian film franchises.

The story follows intelligence agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, played by Ranveer Singh, as he navigates a dangerous undercover mission filled with emotional stakes and high-risk operations.
