Actor Faissal Khan, brother of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, has made serious allegations about a difficult time in his life. In a recent interview, Faissal claimed that years ago, Aamir confined him inside his Mumbai home for over a year. He also said his family labelled him “mad” and accused him of suffering from schizophrenia.
Faissal Khan Says He Was Trapped By Aamir Khan
Speaking to Pinkvilla, Faissal described that phase as suffocating. “They were saying I’ve got schizophrenia and I’m a mad person. I can harm society. Ye sab baatein ho rahi thi. I was looking at myself ki yaar main iss chakravyuh se kaise niklu… saari family mere khilaaf jaa rahi thi. Mujhe pagal samjh rahe the,” he said.
Faissal alleged that during this period, his phone was taken away and he was not allowed to leave the house. “Aamir ne mujhe qaid kar diya tha ghar me ek saal. Mobile le liya, main bahar nahi jaa sakta. Bodyguard mere room ke bahar. Dawaiyan de rahe hain,” he added. According to him, he prayed for help and wished his father could step in, but he had no way to contact him. After months of insisting, he was eventually allowed to move to another home.
Aamir Khan And Faissal Khan’s Troubled Relationship
The brothers have had a rocky bond for many years. Faissal was once involved in a legal fight with his family after they allegedly tried to remove his signatory rights. He was also made to undergo a mental health evaluation at JJ Hospital, where doctors declared him “of sound mind.”
Aamir and Faissal worked together in the 2000 film Mela alongside Twinkle Khanna, but their personal relationship remained tense even after the project.
Faissal Khan’s Career Highlights
Faissal made his acting debut in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), playing a negative role. He later worked as an assistant director on Tum Mere Ho (1990) and appeared in films like Madhosh (1994) and Chinar Daastaan-E-Ishq (2015). In 2021, he directed and starred in Faactory. The following year, he entered Kannada cinema with Oppanda.

On the other hand, Aamir was last seen in Sitaare Zameen Par with Genelia Deshmukh. The sports drama told the story of a hot-headed football coach whose life changes after training 10 neurodivergent children. The film earned Rs 167.3 crore in India and Rs 287.34 crore worldwide. It is now streaming on YouTube’s pay-per-view service after a strong box office run.
Now, he has releases like Sunny Deol starrer Lahore 1947 and Junaid Khan-Sai Pallavi starrer Ek Din under his production. He is also working on his dream project Mahabharata and will soon appear in Rajinikanth’s Coolie.
