Kishor Bajaj: Several Bollywood stars came together to pay their last tribute to Kishor Bajaj, the man who brought the first Michelin Restaurant to India. He passed away on March 17.
Those who attended the prayer meet included Sanjay Dutt and his sister Priya Dutt, Aamir Khan and his ex-wife Kiran Rao, Saira Banu, Jackie Shroff, Diya Mirza, Poonam Dhillon, Ranjeet, Chunky Panday and his wife Bhavna Panday. Salman Khan’s father veteran writer Salim Khan, Sohail Khan, Sophie Choudry and many others qalso turned up to pay their last respects.

Sanjay Dutt looked emotional
Sanjay Dutt dressed in white outfit, appeared quite emotional as he arrived at the prayer venue with his sisters, Priya and Namrata. Aamir Khan attended the meeting with his ex-wife Kiran Rao.
Yesteryear’s actor actor Saira Banu too made a rare appearance. Jackie Shroff, Bhavana Panday alongside Chunky Panday, Boman Irani, Satish Shah, Tina Ambani, Alanna Panday and her husband Ivor also attended the prayer meet. Several businessmen also arrived at the venue.
Salim Khan was accompanied by his younger son Sohail Khan. This is the filmmaker, lyricist’s first public appearance since Salman Khan received a threatening email and his security was beefed up. Salman is currently not in Mumbai. However, the security around his Galaxy apartment has been tightened owing to the situation.
First Michelin restaurateur of country
Kishor Bajaj was quite popular in the film industry. Founder of the Badasaab Group, he launched the first Michelin restaurant of the country, Hakkasan in Mumbai. Later, he launched Yauatcha, a popular tea and dim sum stop in London. His other outlet CinCin is a celebrity favourite Italian restaurant and bar in Mumbai. It’s operating since 2017 and remains a popular spot.
While the reason behind Kishor’s death is unknown, reportedly he was unwell for some time before his death. He was around 55 years old.
