Abhishek Bachchan is ready to take you on a trip down the nostalgia lane. It’s been almost two decades since the witty comedy Bluffmaster came out. Most of us millennials grew up singing the popular rap song ‘Right Here Right Now’ from the movie. Eighteen years ago, Abhishek sang this masterpiece alongside Sunidhi Chauhan and now he’s back to ignite the flame once again in a car karaoke session giving new meaning to it.
Abhishek Bachchan recounts the Bluffmaster days
It’s been eighteen years since the popular comedy film Bluffmaster was first released in 2005. Abhishek Bachchan won many hearts back then with his awesome performance. Most of you would even remember that he blessed us with his wonderful voice as well by singing Vishal – Shekhar’s popular hit ‘Right Here Right Now’ alongside Sunidhi Chauhan. The song became extremely popular and most of us used to memorize it back in the days just sing along. Recently, a video was uploaded by Mashable India which featured a car karaoke session hosted by Siddhaarth Aalambayan.
The video depicts Abhishek leisurely freestyling with the lyrics of Right Here Right Now. The star brought back the sizzling fire from the past by rapping in the same manner as he did 18 years ago. However, the song that Siddhaarth played in the car was a non-rap version. When Abhishek realized it, he expressed disappointment. Siddhaarth tried to cover up by saying, “It’s like a karaoke.” Abhishek replied with swag, “Yeah that’s how we roll. This is how you do it J-side. So we were kids we would call us ‘the J-side crew’. ‘J-side crew’.. Westside baby!”
Netizens go wild on nostalgia
With such a blast from the past, netizens had to lose control. The moment the video sprang up on Instagram, fans took it to the comments section to express their love for Abhishek Bachchan. Some of their comments read, “He is dope,” “Major love nostalgia,” “Best song,” “This is the only rap I knew by heart back in school / while all my friends were rapping Eminem,” “nostalgia peaked here !!”
