Ram Charan: Telugu film RRR is going places and its stars are travelling across the world and winning honors and accolades. The film is getting re-released again in large number of theatres ahead of the Oscar Week. Actor Ram Charan is set to join the 95th Academy Awards along with his team. His film is nominated under the ‘Best Original Song category’.
Ram Charan became the first Indian to grace the popular show ‘Good Morning America’ when he was invited on GMA in New York. The actor was mobbed by fans when he arrived at the studio.

Ram Charan spoke about RRR and how Indian cinema and technicians are winning honors across the globe.
RC said RRR is about friendship, great brotherhood, camaraderie and the relationship between the leading characters. He added RRR was one of the finest writings of director SS Rajamouli, known as Steven Spielberg of India.
Speaking about ‘Naatu Naatu’ and why it had got people hooked to it, RC said he too loves Rihanna and Lady Gaga’s songs and also Top Gun Maverick’s title track. ‘But our song is a Tribute to Indian cinema This is the first time that Academy and other critics have recognized our cinema,” he said.
He also opened up about becoming a father, stating earlier he had more free time but now his schedule was filled with a lot of travel and shoots. He also revealed that his wife, Upasana, would be spending a lot of time in the US before the baby arrives.
RRR at the Oscars
The SS Rajamouli film was nominated in the Best Original Song category at the Oscar Awards 2023. Naatu Naatu, composed by MM Keeravaani, is sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.
Chandrabose has written the lyrics, while Prem Rakshith has choregraphed the number.
