Talking about the current theatrical release situation, Ashish Sahdev sounded quite positive and stated that the negative curve in daily covid case report and relaxation from the government is an encouraging sign for filmmakers. Cinema theatres are one of the highly impacted among all Industries during the Covid period. OTT has turned into lifesaving support to sustain Film projects, OTT has also created a level playing field for big, medium and small-size Filmmakers, however, the classical Film watching experience is the one inside a Cinema hall with the big screen and sound, a bucket of popcorns and a fizzy drink to sip. Everyone from the film fraternity has kept fingers crossed and hoping to get things back on track so that patrons can come to theatres like pre covid time. He sums up jokingly, people watch films more attentively in theatres since they don’t have a reverse or forward button in hand while OTT comes as saviours for audience as they can watch all the scenes or songs they may have missed while waiting in long popcorn ques.
