Actress and TMC MP Nushrat Jahan delivered a baby boy on Thursday in Kolkata. Her rumoured boyfriend, actor Yash Dasgupta, confirmed the news and added that the mother and the son are healthy.
Jahan, who was admitted to the hospital in Park Street on Wednesday evening, gave birth to the child around 12.20 pm, a source at the hospital said.
Now, Nusrat Jahan’s ex-husband Nikhil Jain has reacted to the news. He said, “There might be differences between us, but I am wishing the newborn and his mother all the best. I wish the baby boy has a bright future.”

Nusrat Jahan had tied the knot with businessman Nikhil Jain at a destination wedding ceremony in Turkey in 2019, attended by a select few.
After winning the Lok Sabha Elections in 2019 on a TMC ticket, Jahan hosted a grand wedding reception at a five-star hotel in Kolkata which was attended by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee among other dignitaries.
Nusrat issued the statement amid speculations of a rift in her marriage and reports that she was living separately and was pregnant.
