All about ‘Adipurush’ Day 1 Collection
Early reports suggest that "Adipurush" has performed exceptionally well on its first day, earning a massive Rs. 95-98 crore from all languages combined. As per Sacnilk.com, the film is expected to earn Rs. 58.5 crore from the Telugu version and Rs. 35 crore from the Hindi version. The Tamil and Malayalam versions are anticipated to contribute around 0.7 crore and 0.4 crore, respectively.
Renowned film business expert Girish Johar had high expectations for the film's opening and predicted a huge response from the audience. With a wide release on over 4,000 screens across India, Johar estimated an opening collection ranging between Rs. 45 and Rs. 50 crore for all languages combined. However, he revised his estimate on Saturday, suggesting that the movie could earn around Rs. 98 crore domestically and approximately Rs. 35 crore overseas.

Adipurush surpasses Brahmastra
While "Adipurush" has enjoyed a strong start at the box office, it has faced criticism for its visual effects and dialogues. The film, inspired by the Hindu mythological epic Ramayana, features Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki (Sita), and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh. Produced by T-Series, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, Rajesh Nair, and Pramod and Vamsi, the film boasts a budget of over Rs. 500 crore.
Despite the immense scale of the production, the film's CGI work and visual effects have received negative feedback, leaving some disappointed. Critics and audiences have pointed out that the movie lacks the depth and soul necessary to bring this epic tale to life.

Rating: ⭐️½#Adipurush is an EPIC DISAPPOINTMENT… Just doesn’t meet the mammoth expectations… Director #OmRaut had a dream cast and a massive budget on hand, but creates a HUGE MESS. #AdipurushReview pic.twitter.com/zQ9qge30Kv
#AdipurushReview : Disappointed. #Adipurush is a king-sized disappointment… BAD VFX, low on content [first half nosedives]… #Adipurush could’ve been a game changer, but, alas, it’s a missed opportunity… All gloss, no soul. #Prabhas worst performance.

With its impressive box office debut, "Adipurush" has established itself as one of the highest-opening day grossers in Indian cinema, ranking just behind blockbusters like "Baahubali 2," "RRR," and "KGF 2." The film's success in the Hindi belt and Telugu states has been particularly notable, while Tamil Nadu and Kerala have underperformed.
While the opening numbers are promising, the film's mixed audience reception may pose challenges, considering its substantial production costs. However, with strong advance sales in the Hindi belt for the weekend, a significant drop in collections might be avoided at least until Sunday. It is expected that the film will surpass the Rs. 200 crore mark in the domestic market during its first weekend.
