Adipurush director Om Raut kisses Kriti Sanon at temple; BJP leader slams PDA, asks ‘is it really necessary?’

Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Adipurush, which also stars pan-India star Prabhas. Directed by Om Raut, the film is scheduled to release in theatres on June 16. Ahead of the film’s release, the makers launched a final trailer of the film in a grand event.

Prior to the trailer launch event, Kriti along with Raut visited Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati. However, their devotional endeavor didn’t exactly turn out the way they expected. A controversy erupted after a video of the filmmaker kissing Kriti goodbye on the temple premise went viral. Leading to a social media upheaval, the alleged indecent act was blasted by BJP secretary Ramesh Naidu Nagothu.

He further wrote, “Engaging in public displays of affection, like kissing and hugging, in front of the Lord Venkateshwara Swamy Temple in #Tirumala is deemed disrespectful and unacceptable.”
